Mainstays candle Review

As I've stated in previous posts, I normally just buy Mainstays candles and for good reason. Because they are soooooo cheap and they smell wonderful!
I have around 40 Mainstay's candles in every scent imaginable.
I'm not a huge fan of spicy bakery smells so most of mine are floral and fruity, with a few fresh scents mixed in.
One huge perk about mainstays candles is that there are so many shapes and sizes that you can try out.
You can get a 3 oz candle for 1 dollar
a 11.5 oz candle for 3.50
and a 20 oz candle for 5 dollars
and please believe me when I say that they do burn for quite a while and they leave your room smelling like what ever scent you've chosen to burn. My personal favs are juicy apple, and fresh cotton. I've also recently started loving sweet pea. However Garden Rain used to rank number one for me but I've stopped burning that scent so much because...well I burned it sooo much!
The 11.5 oz candles come with three wicks so they burn faster than any of the one wick candles, but they leave your room smelling a bit better than the one wicks (which are the 20 oz and the 3 oz) because more of the oil in the wax is burning at a faster rate...I'm guessing?
One down side I will say is that the 3 oz candles never burn to the bottom of the jar. The usually leave a food 3/4 or 1 inch of wax left, but for only costing 1 dollar, they are very fragrent and totally worth it especially if you just want to test a scent out or put one as a gift in an easter basket or goody bag.
They come out with new collections suited for the different seasons in the fall and in the spring but the juicy apple, vanilla, garden rain, fresh cotton, black cherry, warm apple pie, cranberry mandarin, hazlenut cream, sweet lavender, sweet pea and probably a few others are in their permanent collection. I buy mine at Wal*Mart but I've heard that you can get them other places or you can just order them off of Wal*Mart's website, a downside to that is that you have to order them in bulk off the website so you'd have to buy 3 or 4 at a time.
I do buy other brands which I'll be reviewing later, but mostly I use Mainstay's. Hope you found this info helpful and if you want to know anything about the brand I'll be more than happy to answer.

BTW...Yes that would be part of my collection!

  1. I have used Mainstays forever. This year for fall, the size of each cube is half of what it was and the scent lasts for a few hours. Not as impressed as I used to be. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!!
